An Empty Plot of Rough Earth

This garden started off as an empty plot of rough earth and proved a great opportunity to work with the owner to develop their pride and joy.  This owner wanted a garden that was easy to maintain, but gave the impression they spent lots of time tending to their garden. After some hard work and careful planning, Mayfield Gardens have turned this dull patch into a stunning, plant rich place of tranquillity. The earth was firstly turned into a lush lawn, with a border around the perimeter. The fence was painted in traditional dark oak and then the planting began. Many of the shrubs were evergreen, which meant the harsh fence was softened and the owner could enjoy bright colours all year round from plants, such as the stunning yellow Choysias. The gorgeous Red Robin in the corner has provided beautiful fresh red shoots on a regular basis, along with the Ornamental Dark Leafed Plum trees and red Maple. A slim Beech tree also provided height and some dramatics to the garden. A range of pots are planted on the patio as the seasons dictate. Annual lawn care and weekly mowing is carried out here, along with leaf clearance throughout Autumn. The owner also asks Mayfield Gardens to ensure the patio is cleaned in the spring and has also taken advantage of the Garden Furniture service.
