Third tree planted (on the left) to make the set in the garden of Mayfield Cottage today. Might not look much at the moment, but give it a few years and the three will look stunning peeking above the fresh green reeds when they appear around the pond. The Acer Brilliantissimum” first appears with distinctive shrimp-pink leaves turning to a yellowy green, the Acer “Crimson King” provides a deep red leaf and the Malus toringo Scarlett provides a lovely show with a rich deep blossom with purple leaves.
